More Fun with Google
How do you measure innovation?
It's difficult to tell, some say it's how many new things someone or some company can come up with.
Some say it's how someone or some company can take old things and make them new again with a different spin put on them.
Choose your definition and feel free to debate which companies innovate and which perhaps, despite what they say, do not.
DrFierce cares not about such things.
What DrFierce cares about is cool stuff (see my first post, it's the reason this blog exists) and nothing seems cooler, from a Web perspective than what you can do with services and facilities provided by Google.
Building upon Google maps, there are plenty of services and sites that have sprung up.
Some notable examples include checking the crime rate in Chicago, Sightseeing the world thanks to Google. looking up places for cheap gas for your car, motorcycle or alternate vehicle, as well as checking out which places are for sale and for what price.
If this is not enough, you can create a montage of images based on the Google image search function. Sometimes, it comes up with interesting findings.
Overall, there is plenty to do, see and have fun with Google. What is really interesting is what their labs are coming up with.
Now excuse me, I've got, uhm, work to do.
And, uhm, yeah, by the looks of all this above, there's a possibility that there might not be a post tomorrow.
